The Sunset Valley - Engaging in light mountain trekking, which doesn't necessitate additional skills or experience in mountain climbing, will allow you to form an emotional bond with the natural desert environment.
Soldier’s Head Valley offers a perfect spot to watch the sunset without interruption as you observe the sun gradually diminishing its light and disappearing beyond the western horizon. It is one of the seven valleys accessible and linked to the Lahay Valley, located south of Riyadh City.
You rest on the escarpment, feeling the gentle desert breezes brushing against your body as you savor the fresh air on the expansive desert plateau.
You can drive approximately 50 km from Riyadh's city center to Laha Valley, hike the easy mountain trail to the hilltop, and wait for the sunset.

The quickest route to Soldier’s Head Valley passes through Laha Valley. Unfortunately, this path isn't publicly accessible due to the presence of private farms in Laha Valley. To enter Soldier’s Head Valley, you must obtain permission from the farm owners. If they grant it, be grateful; if not, you can do nothing.
The simplest way to reach Soldier’s Head Valley is by contacting the Saudi Hiking Team of Saudi Adventure, a tour and travel agency in the kingdom.
By paying a small fee for their hiking package, you can join them in exploring Soldier’s Head Valley and all the other valleys around the entire Laha Valley region.
