Standing alone and unwavering in a secluded desert might represent bravery, perseverance, and steadiness. In moments and places where we feel isolated, we can withstand any challenges if we learn to stay grounded. This was the symbolic interpretation I envisioned upon seeing it.

I named this rock “The Lonesome Rock” because it has no other rock formation standing beside it, just by itself in the middle of the valley of sand. Aside from standing alone, it stands on sunken ground, and you have to scale down the dune to get to the base of the rock.

What to Bring
Drive a 4-wheel drive car to bring you to the middle of the desert over the loose sands.
You need food for your picnic, overnight camping, or snacks during the short visits. There are no nearby shops, so you must have them all before going there.
